In February 2005, Beth Ferrier was in a Denver supermarket when a headline screamed at her from a tabloid at the checkout: “Bill Cosby Sex Accuser’s Story: What Really Happened.” For 20 years, the former model had been haunted by the night she visited the comedian backstage at a club to end their affair. He gave her a cup of coffee, “something to relax you”, he said. Her next memory was of waking alone in the back of her car, clothes in disarray.
